Viridian Landscape Studio

2018 Research Internship Program

Mission

To promote sustainable design and adaptive learning in environmental design through post occupancy and case study research and outreach. An ecologically focused and socially oriented firm committed to discovery and learning, Viridian is leading research of built projects to inform our design approaches and drive innovation toward effective and harmonious landscapes for people, plants and wildlife.

Context

The Viridian Research Internship Program enables us to rigorously review past and present landscape interventions to integrate new knowledge in landscape design.  With 2 decades of past work, Viridian has many built projects to serve as research subjects for investigations which seek knowledge about best practices in sustainable environmental design. We are looking to identify the “how” and “why” of our successes and failures so that our work may continue to advance knowledge and practice toward a more sustainable future.
